Does my logo breach copyright laws?

I have been working for 10 years in my family business in South America. We moved part of our operations to the USA and we noticed that our logo is not similar, but, it has two important details very similar (the shape and 2 ornaments) to the leading nationwide company's logo. Can that get us in trouble?. we are a very small company.
