Is it normal for Green Neon Tetras to be almost all green/yellow?

About 3 weeks ago, I bought a small shoal (3) of Green Neon Tetras. I bought them from a well-known, quality fish store (Not a chain store). The employee's there have been there for as long as I can remember. I asked for 3 Green Neon Tetras when I was at the Green Neon Tetra tank. There were no other fish in the tank that looked like Tetras (Infact, they only had Albino Yellow Plecos in the tank). The fish I got look almost solid green, with a yellow underbelly. They have a slight neon glow along their back. I researched Green Neon Tetras online, and the pics I found of them looked nothing like mine! Are mine a special breed/gene?
