Earth Quake Safety at school...?

have you talked to the school about this? i would ask them why they made the choice for that instead of having the kids go outside. could be that having children running out of a building while the earth is shaking would be a bad move. talk to the city planners as well as there is an emergency response team and see what the professionals think. unlike tornado's and hurricanes, there is no real forewarning for an earthquake. realistically though....would you want a school of kids trying to "get out" while the earth is shaking??
