How do i enjoy life in australia?

Not being from Australia, I cannot help with questions 1 & 4. Question 2: Note what pubs are by the university and the people who frequent them. Avoid the pubs and those people. Try to find clubs/ organizations with people who like to do the same things as you to occupy any free time you may have. Question 3: I presume Australians are like people everywhere - some good, some bad, some polite, some rude, some friendly and some snobbish. As to fitting in, it will probably be a " trial & error" type of thing. You may enjoy some and dislike others.
