Why there is no production of oxygen when electrolysis water with Cu electrodes Sulfuric electrolyte?

When acidified (H2SO4) water is electrolysed using Copper electrodes, at cathode 2 H+ + 2e- -----> H2, and at anode 2OH- ------> H2O + 1/2 O2 + 2e- .Hence H2 is liberated at cathode and O2 liberated at anode.
